Which Celebrity ships are the newest?
The Edge Series — Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent and Xcel — is the newest generation, introduced from 2018 onward. They carry the Infinite Veranda, the cantilevered Magic Carpet platform and four complimentary main restaurants instead of a single dining room.
Which Celebrity ships sail to Alaska?
Celebrity typically deploys Solstice-class and Millennium-class ships to Alaska for the May-to-September season, sailing from Vancouver or Seattle. Deployments are announced a year or more ahead and do change, so confirm the ship for your specific dates.
Is a newer Celebrity ship always better?
No. The older Millennium-class ships are smaller, which lets them dock in ports the larger hulls cannot reach — and on an itinerary-led trip like Japan or the Adriatic, that access is worth more than a newer bar. Pick the itinerary first, then the best ship serving it.
